After decades of waiting, some 3.5 million coconut farmers stand to enjoy the fruits of their labor as this law creates a trust fund from the coco levy fund, which is estimated to have increased to more than P100 billion.

The trust fund will be used for the benefit of the coconut farmers and the development of the coconut industry.
