Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan led the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights’ hearing to grant Filipino citizenship to Maodo “Malick” Diouf and Elizabeth Jeanette Means in a bid to boost the country’s chances of qualifying for the Olympics. Diouf is the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Most Valuable Player (MVP) from the University of the Philippines (UP), while Means plays for the Gilas Pilipinas Women’s National Team.
