Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and other local officials on Saturday endorsed the Senate bid of former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, as he concluded his 90-day campaign in the city where he started his political career as councilor.

Pangilinan, joined by his nephew Donny Pangilinan, crossed a symbolic finish line and broke through a ribbon at the Villa Verde Homes Subdivision basketball court in Barangay Sta. Monica, Quezon City—marking the end of his grueling campaign trail.

Joining Belmonte in raising the hands of Pangilinan, who served as QC councilor from 1988 to 1992, were 5th District Rep. PM Vargas, 6th District Rep. Marivic Co-Pilar, and 5th District Councilor Joseph Visaya.

Meanwhile, Donny Pangilinan, Raymond Lauchengco, Jed Baruelo, and Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT) artist May Shane Patag serenaded the crowd.
