Judy Ann Santos revealed that her recent trip to Hong Kong was to help Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan get in touch with overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in his bid to run for vice president in the 2010 elections. Judai said that she readily agreed to help the senator because she believes in his political platform. Judai is also very close to Sen. Kiko’s wife, megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Judai explained that the trip was also an effort to encourage the OFWs to vote in the upcoming national elections.
The actress confirmed that she and husband Ryan Agoncillo intend to continuously support Sen. Kiko in his political campaigns in the future as long as their schedules permit. “Sinasabi naman nila (Sen. Kiko and family) sa amin ahead of schedule. They never pressured us na sumama.
At present, Judai and Ryan are still undecided if they will still endorse other politicians aside from Sen. Kiko. Given the growing competition in politics with the nearing elections, the couple said that they are content with endorsing only the megastar’s better half. “Tama na kaming suportahan si Kuya Kiko. Si Kuya Kiko lang susuportahan namin,” said Judai.
Judai also laughed off the possibility of her or Ryan running for public office in the future. She explained that she is content with just being in the entertainment industry.
