Chairman of the Senate Committee on Social Justice, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, urges PNP officials to look into two separate incidents of hostilities from the University of the Philippines and the Navotas Polytechnic College.
According to news reports, a UP student was stabbed at the Office of the University Student Council, while in a separate incident another student was involved in a hostage-taking at Navotas Polytechnic College.
“We deplore the brazenness of these acts,” Pangilinan says. “We implore the PNP and college officials and security to investigate these incidents with the view of discouraging those who think they can get away with such acts of violence.”
