Independent senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan appeals to the public to stay vigilant and continue voicing their indignation over the current administration’s push for Charter Change even as the Supreme Court junks a petition against HR 1109.
‘I expected as much,’ says Pangilinan of the SC’s ruling on Oliver Lozano and Evangeline Lozano’s petition to nullify HR 1109. ‘It was premature. A constituent assembly has not yet convened. The key here though is to continue to be vigilant and to not allow a Senate-less Con-Ass.’
Pangilinan encourages the public to continue their support of the RV Drivers’ ‘Di Ako Papayag’ campaign by posing their own version on the internet.
‘We shouldn’t let the current administration think that the people will simply watch and stand idly by and that they can get away with this reckless attempt,’ says Pangilinan. ‘We must remember how HR 1109 caught us all by surprise. Let’s not allow that to happen again.’
