Former Senator and senatorial candidate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan received the endorsement of Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia, becoming the only non-Alyansa ng Bagong Pilipinas senatorial aspirant to get her support.


Garcia said her decision to endorse Pangilinan was rooted in their long-standing friendship that withstood the test of time and changes in the political landscape.


“He really went out of his way to greet me and to say hello. How are you, give my regards to Pablo John. I was so touched by that gesture,” she said during a gathering of barangay captains and mayors from the province’s 5th and 6th districts.


“Diyan mo talaga makikita kung anong klaseng tao siya,” she added.


Garcia’s endorsement came ahead of Pangilinan’s scheduled “Kita-Kiks sa Cebu Rally” later today (Wednesday) at the Plaza Independencia, Cebu City.


Expected to perform during the event are Megastar Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan, Piolo Pascual, Gary Valenciano, Kuh Ledesma, Pinky Amador, and Darren Espanto. Pooh and Nikki Valdez will host the event.


The pre-program is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. while the main program starts at 6 p.m.
