Napoleon “Yoyong” Merida, Chairman of the Panaw-Sumilao Farmers Cooperative, receives a symbolic golden farming spade (“Gintong Pala”) from Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala and Senate Chairman on Agriculture and Food Senator Kiko Pangilinan.

Sagip Saka, an advocacy to transform agricultural communities through private-public partnerships and improve the incomes and quality of life of farmers and fisherfolk, was launched at Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan City on January 27, 2012.
