Former Senator and senatorial aspirant Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan visited Naga City over the weekend, where he met with former Vice President Leni Robredo and attended a series of community engagements.
Pangilinan joined Robredo, who is running for Naga City Mayor under the Team An Bag-Ong Naga party, in a meeting with senior citizens of Barangay Peñafrancia.
During the event, Robredo reiterated her endorsement of Pangilinan’s senatorial bid, vouching for his track record and accomplishments as a public servant.
Robredo also recalled her decision to run for president in 2022, saying Pangilinan was her only choice for running mate. The former Vice President said Pangilinan sacrificed his assured victory in the 2022 senatorial race to run as her vice president.
Kaya ako po, walang pag-aalinlangan, kailangan natin siyang tulungan,” she added.
Pangilinan also visited the An Bag-Ong Team Naga headquarters and met with the volunteers who are contributing their time, talent, and resources to support the campaign.
He later joined the culminating activity of Lakas ng Kababaihan of Barangay Balatas, in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month.
A Naga-based women’s organization founded by Robredo, Lakas ng Kababaihan focuses on empowerment, livelihood programs, and support for women facing economic and social challenges.
