Former Senator and senatorial candidate Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan took a brief break from his hectic campaign schedule in Antipolo City to seek divine blessing and protection during his visit to the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.

During his visit, Pangilinan was prayed over by Rev. Fr. Yohann, OMV, and had his vehicle blessed as well.

“Ngayong nasa huling limang linggo na tayo ng kampanya at umiigting na ang ating pag-iikot, lalo’t higit na kailangan natin ang gabay at proteksyon ng ating Panginoon,” Pangilinan said.

“Nagpasalamat din tayo sa Diyos sa Kanyang proteksyon nang tayo’y makaranas ng panganib sa ating pagbiyahe sa Quezon kamakailan,” he added, referring to the incident where the helicopter he was riding en route to Tiaong was forced to make three emergency landings due to bad weather conditions.

Pangilinan kicked off his campaign week by attending the monthly flag-raising ceremony of the Antipolo City government, where he was warmly welcomed by Mayor Jun Ynares and local government employees.

Afterward, Pangilinan visited the nearby Pasalubong Center, where he engaged with vendors and customers in a meet-and-greet.

The former senator also bought local delicacies, such as kasuy and suman, as pasalubong for his wife, Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
