PARTNERSHIPS with various organizations spell the success of Vice President Leni Robredo’s initiatives in addressing the difficulties the Filipino people suffer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said Wednesday.
“Pinakita ni VP Leni sa kanyang mga inisyatiba na hindi nakasalalay sa iisang lider lang ang solusyon. Nasa sama-samang pagkilos ng lahat ang solusyon sa COVID-19. Kung taumbayan mismo ang kikilos, walang sinabi ang pandemic,” said Pangilinan.
“Ang lakas ng ating mga pagkilos ay ang lakas na galing sa taumbayan,” he added.
Pangilinan said Robredo’s efforts to tap different private groups as partners in her various COVID-19 projects and programs is both noteworthy and brilliant.
“We need all the help we can get and tapping the help of the private sector is instrumental in the fight against COVID-19,” said Pangilinan.
“Maliban pa rito, nabibigyang-diin natin ng kahalagahan ng pribadong sektor na nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa kanila na palakasin pa ang tulong sa kapwa,” he pointed out.
Since the start of the pandemic, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) has entered into a partnership with Kaya Natin in several COVID-19 initiatives, such as fund-raising for the purchase of personal protective equipment and other medical needs of front-liners.
The Vice President also tapped the help of other private sector partners for free transportation for front-liners and livelihood for market vendors, tricycle and jeepney drivers, and others who lost their job due to the pandemic.
