AFTER barnstorming the nine provinces of Western Samar, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Bohol in five days, from March 28 to April 1, vice-presidential aspirant Francis “Kiko” Pangllinan surprised his wife, mega-star Sharon Cuneta, by paying her a visit in Vigan, Ilocos Sur on April 4.
Pangilinan was joined by children Miguel and Miel during the short visit in Vigan, where the Dreamscape Entertainment’s teleserye “Ang Probinsyano” is shooting.
On April 28, Cuneta and Pangilinan will mark their 26th wedding anniversary.
Pangilinan posted a picture of his Vigan visit on his official twitter account, @kikopangilinan, and captioned it “Surprise visit ng pamilya kay @sharon_cuneta12 sa kanyang lock-in taping sa Ilocos.”
One follower, @25_lovestory, told Pangilinan “Grabe ka po Sen. Kiko, no matter how busy you are talagang nakakahanap ka pa rin ng quality time for your family. Amazing. Yan ang manok ko, pag gusto may paraan.”
@maesarahco72 told Pangilinan to request lead actor Coco Martin, who plays Cardo in the teleserye, to join him in his campaign sorties. “Pakisama si Coco Martin paglabas ng lock in taping para mangampanya (only if he wants). It will be a big help to boost your number. We support you po, Sen. Kiko.”
@RageAL12 said “release Sharon so that she can campaign for her husband!” @juvydee agreed with @RageAL12.
@BatangPink2022 joined the request for Cuneta to hit the campaign trails, saying “sana maka-pag house-to-house na si Ms. Sharon.”
Cuneta, who plays the role of mysterious Aurora, was described by “Ang Probinsyano” fans as “brilliant” when she made her debut on Nov. 26, 2021. Aurora is the conflicted and estranged daughter of Don Ignacio, essayed by Tommy Abuel.
“Ang Probinsyano” marked its historic 6th year last November as country’s longest-running action-drama series.
“Ang Probinsyano” airs Monday to Friday nights on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, CineMo, Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel, and Facebook page, iWantTFC, WeTV, and iflix.
“Ang Probinsyano” is the first Filipino teleserye to livestream on YouTube, with a peak concurrent viewership of 162,831. It has received over 100 awards from various award-giving bodies.
It is also aired via Netflix and The Filipino Channel and its TV broadcast in Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, and other countries, including Africa.
