Awarding Medals to Outstanding Students

Learning is a fundamental driver of development. At a national level, learning can be vital to poverty alleviation as well as social development and economic growth. This link between learning and development is reflected in the goal of the Office of Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and the Philippine Council of Young Political Leaders (PCYPL) Gawad Talino project, “to inspire and encourage the youth to excel academically, making them diligent and dedicated to their studies by awarding deserving students through the granting of gold medals dubbed as Gawad Talino on the day of graduation. Together with the medal is a congratulatory message to the graduating class.

With this, the Office of Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, will provide fund support through the Philippine Council of Young Political Leaders (PCYPL) who shall implement the project with the assistance of the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL), the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The project will benefit academic achievers of public high schools nationwide.
