Six days to go before the midterm elections, Senatorial candidate and former Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan has renewed his call for support for his senatorial bid, believing that the fight is not yet over.

In a radio interview in Iloilo City, Pangilinan said he’s banking on his clean and dependable track record and experience in public service to carry him to a fresh Senate term.

“Five days to go. Hindi pa tapos ang laban. Marami pang puwedeng mangyari. We are asking for your support. No. 51 sa balota,” Pangilinan said.

“Tumataya, tumitindig, kumikilos para sa ating mga kababayan at walang bahid ng corruption,” he added, emphasizing that Iloilo has elected him three times as senator and also as vice president in the 2022 elections.

“In all those times na hinalal niyo ako, I never allowed myself to be involved in corruption because you trusted me. Kayo ang nagtiwala sa akin, sinuklian ko ng tapat at totoong panunungkulan,” the former Senator said.

Pangilinan also welcomed the latest endorsement from the Jesus Is Lord (JIL) Church, which announced its support following “a thorough assessment of [his] positions and a review of [his] track record.” The endorsement highlights Pangilinan’s consistent advocacy for justice, food security, and principled governance.

During a visit to Sultan Kudarat, Pangilinan also secured the backing of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), the official political party of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). The UBJP endorsement reflects growing support from Mindanao-based stakeholders who recognize Pangilinan’s push for inclusive development, agricultural reform, and lasting peace in the region

“Nagpapasalamat tayo sa mga nag-e-endorso sa atin. This will truly be a boost sa ating pangangampanya and will help us win,” he said.

“Ang mga grupo na iyan, hindi basta-basta kung sinu-sino ang ini-endorso. Pinag-aaralan nila ang track record, lalo na ang JIL at MILF. Very issue-oriented ang mga iyan at very focused on good governance,” he added.

He expressed hope that these endorsements would sway undecided voters to include him in their list of senatorial candidates as election day approaches.
