“From day one when we pushed for Senator Noynoy’s bid for the presidency, we gave our commitment to him that we were ready to step aside for the sake of unity behind his candidacy,” says senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan. That time to set aside our personal plans and unite behind senator Aquino’s bid for the presidency has come. We will support the Noynoy-Mar tandem.”

Pangilinan adds that he will help in the campaign in whatever capacity and role the Liberal Party might give him.

“We cannot afford another six years of trapo, corrupt politics to dominate our daily lives. The Noynoy-Mar tandem is in the best position to mobilize our people to triumph and usher in the change we seek to realize.”

“Our personal considerations have always been secondary to the cause of genuine change. For so long, our leaders have failed us. It is time for our people to end this failure in political leadership by uniting behind the urgent need for genuine change. We call on all people who yearn for real change to rally behind the Noynoy-Mar tandem. We must not allow the forces of bankrupt and trapo politics to prevail over the forces of reforms and genuine change. Our children deserve better. It’ time to reclaim the business of governance from those who have failed us and continue to fail us. It’s time for our people to stand up and say ‘enough is enough’.”
