My family and I offer our deepest condolences to former Secretary Mar Roxas and the entire Roxas and Araneta families on the passing of Ms. Judy Araneta-Roxas, a steadfast pillar of strength and grace.
Tita Judy was mother to generations of Liberal Party members. Her quiet courage and generosity was a beacon in difficult times, reminding us that politics is not about power, but about service. We will never forget how she opened her heart and Balay, giving the Party a place in the heart of the metropolis.
Her love for the country was the kind that built and sustained others. She gave her strength to the struggle for democracy, proving that freedom endures because of those who give of themselves often away from the spotlight.
Seriously injured in the Plaza Miranda bombing, she remained undeterred and went on to touch countless lives through the Gerry Roxas Foundation and the J. Amado Araneta Foundation.
We will honor her memory and keep her spirit alive in our service to the Filipino people.
Rest well, Tita Judy. You will always be in our hearts.
