THE National Food Authority has found an ally in Sen. Francis Pangilinan who opposed plans to abolish the agency.

In a radio interview, Pangilinan said that instead of closing the food agency, the government should inject the needed support so that the agency will be able to pursue its twin mandates of ensuring the country’s food security and stabilizing the price and supply of rice.
