Team Kiko
The team behind Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, underscores the senator’s own campaign cry in 2001 and 2007 for citizens to not rely simply on government, but for they themselves to work on improving their own communities.
Inspired by Sen. Kiko’s own background as a youth leader, student activist and young public servant, Team Kiko is involved in different creative undertaking that seek to enhance the role of young Filipinos in nation building.
Senator Kiko Pangilinan Internship Program
In the past six years, the Office of Senator Kiko Pangilinan has been accepting applicants for internship. The Internship Program in the Office of Senator Pangilinan is a project–oriented learning program with assignments varying widely from year to year depending on the needs of the office. Past internship assignments ranged from the production of the Barangay Survival Manual which is a practical guide to the legal and administrative concerns of the barangay and its officials; the creation of a contacts database; and the provision of assistance in the 2007 Senatorial canvassing operations. The internship also provides a unique opportunity to learn more about the daily operations in the Senate.
The Program offers eligible students the opportunity to contribute to the office through its projects and share knowledge with its staff. Interns are based at the Philippine Senate. Upon completion, interns are expected to present a final report in a forum to be organized by the office. The Program’s purpose is to offer the opportunity to work in a major government institution and to be engaged in a multi-sectoral environment expand knowledge by learning from experienced professionals and apply it to educational and practical experience present research output in a forum at the office
